Why do my parents and my friend’s parents always believe every piece of celebrity gossip they hear?

Question by jhall20032003: Why do my parents and my friend’s parents always believe every piece of celebrity gossip they hear?
My dad is convinced Zack Effron is gay and went into a huge discussion over it and my parents friends think that Lady Gaga is a hermaphrodite.
They seriously believe everything they hear, is it a generational thing? Does anyone else notice the same thing? (they are in their early to mid 50’s)

  1. i am a parent and I don’t thank any of it is true.
some people just think that what they hear is true(I guess)
just let them be parents and you know gossip is gossip

  2. I think that Lady Gaga is really hermaphrodite and bisexually. I mean look at her video Poker Face.
Or maybe she is sick of fame and doesn’t know what to do to get atention

  3. Yup they’re stuck with their old views of life. Are they talking bad about it? Most old people weren’t exposed to LGBT related things so they just need understanding. And they shouldn’t believe everything they hear in the media obviously.
