Brian Melo Biography
Brian Melo was born on August 15, 2007 in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. Melo grew up in East Hamilton where he attended Cathedral High School and worked as a construction worker. He worked as a construction worker up until he made it past the Canadian Idol Season 5 auditions. Brian's background is Portuguese, his family came from San Miguel, Acores, Portugal. Melo’s parents are Mari and Augusto and he is the youngest of four children, two older brothers and an older sister. He has been a lead singer in his Hamilton based band ‘Stoked’ since 2003.

TELUS Presents Brian Melo, Jaydee Bixby and Carly Rae Jepsen Live on Tour. The Tour will hit 15 Canadian cities beginning on Nov. 18. Tickets are available now and went on sale Tuesday, Sept. 11 following the two-hour, star-studded Canadian Idol finale.
