The iHeart Country Fest is proclaiming fast and we couldn’t be more excited. As in previous years, the line-up is strong in the country. We’re talking about Blake Shelton, Toby Keith, Little Big Town and much more! We even hear that there will be a BIG surprise guest (read on to find out more)!

To prepare for the October 30th event, we spoke to iHeart Radios Anne Hudsonwho just celebrated its 20th company anniversary! She has been involved for each of the five years since the festival began.
During the first four years of the festival, she hosted the national radio show. In the fifth year she could be found backstage as the headliner of the company’s LiveXLive TV coverage, which she will do again this year.
Here are Anne Hudson’s favorite moments from past iHeart Country Festivals and what she’s looking forward to this year.
Q: What do you like best about the iHeart Country Festival?
A: To see a number of artists performing their greatest hits in a row! It’s fast moving, it’s fun and the production on stage is amazing. With all the big screens, you feel like you are in the front row no matter where you are.
Q: What have been some of your favorite gigs over the years?
A: I work backstage for the entire show so I can really only watch on the monitors. When I have a break, I run forward to see some of the show. A big highlight was when Maren Morris performed and she threw out “The Middle”. There’s a part of this song that is almost a cpella and it was crazy how her singing shone through the Frank Erwin Center. I’ve always liked Maren and I knew she was good … but she is like REALLY GOOD! I had the same experience with Little Big Town. When Karen Fairchild starts singing it’s just crazy how great her raw singing is.
Q: We know it’s hard to pick a favorite this year, so is someone coming this year you’ve never seen live?
A: There is a BIG surprise artist that hasn’t been announced yet that I can’t wait to see! Surprisingly, I’ve never seen Blake Shelton OR Toby Keith live so I’m excited to see them.
Q: Do you already know what you are wearing? Can you tell us something about your outfit?
A: I always call my girl Stephanie Coultress under Austin style. She has the best style and cutest boutique in Austin. There’s also a chance I might also have something from a new Austin boutique called. sluggish LoveShackFancy. And if for some reason I can’t find anything in the stores, I have a cute dress from Retrofitting that would be fun to wear.
Last but not least, Hudson assured us it would be so much fun and she can’t wait to see everyone there!
